Comic Tyrone (Ty) Dixson of Atlanta, GA was born and raised in
Indianapolis, Indiana. He’d be one of the first to tell you that a) yes, there
are more than five black people in the state of Indiana, and b) they do
more than race cars and grow corn there. Ty was raised by his
grandparents which gave him an “old perspective” on life. He inherited his
sense of humor from his Mother, and his wit from his Grandfather.
As the Founder and Owner of “Lyrics and Laughs Media, LLC.,” Ty sets out
to combine his love for both comedy and music offering an entertainment
experience like no other. Releasing his 1 st single “Remy” in May of 2021
followed by a full EP titled “Love Is …” the following month, Ty showcases
his passion for songwriting along with his vocal ability. The album quickly
became a fan favorite taking many back to the realm of 90s R&B. This
birthed the first volume of Jokes and Jams held in Indianapolis, IN on June
19, 2021.
Armed with a passion to help others see a different life, Ty frequently uses
humor as a part of reaching those seeking encouragement. Whether by
coaching High School football, motivating youth or sharing an encouraging
word has birthed Ty’s newest organization, Handsome with Hustle. This
organization seeks to provide support and encouragement to men and
young men through all journeys of life, while looking good in the process;
hence the name “Handsome with Hustle.”
